Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Orlando Avuzwa Mbembe on a long-term deal.

Mbembe, who is capable of playing in defence or midfield, arrives in the Cape Winelands following a spell with Chippa United, where he was the captain of the Chilli Boyz’s reserve team last season.

“It’s a dream come true for me to join Stellenbosch FC,” Mbembe said. “This is a Club that is very big on developing footballers and, as a young player, I know this is an environment where I will be able to grow and improve.

“I also believe that I will be able to add value to the squad. I’m a hardworking and versatile player, and I hope to help the Club compete for silverware because the coach has made it simple for us – we have to compete for every available trophy.”

Mbembe will wear the No. 24 jersey for Stellenbosch FC’s first team this season.
