Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce that the SFC Ladies will compete in the HollywoodBets Super League from the 2026 season.

Stellenbosch FC’s step up to the Hollywoodbets Super League marks a significant milestone for the Club’s growing women’s programme which was founded in 2024, with the first team now set to compete at the highest level of women’s football in South Africa.

The SFC Ladies will be led by Head Coach Nathan Peskin, who guided Stellies to a Stream triumph in the Western Cape Women’s SASOL League last season, while renowned administrator Shilene Booysen has been brought on board as the new Head of Women’s Football.

“Playing in the Hollywoodbets Super League is a massive opportunity for our players to play at the highest level,” Booysen said.

“This is an exciting prospect and has always been the next big step for Stellenbosch FC. We want to build a programme that is not just sustainable, but has a healthy culture, a clear identity for players, and creates a pathway for young girls to dream big.

“This has always been part of Stellenbosch FC’s vision, long before the women’s programme even started, and now having this team gives us an opportunity to compete at the highest level.”

Stellenbosch FC have been drawn in the Super Era stream for the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League season alongside University of Pretoria, UWC, Copper Belts FC, Diepkloof Ladies, Richmond United, TS Galaxy Queens, and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

The team will get its campaign underway this weekend, on Saturday, 23 May, when they take on the University of Pretoria at the UJ Soweto stadium.
