The 24-year-old becomes Stellies’ fifth confirmed new signing ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, and reveals that he is excited to make the step up to the top-flight to help the club compete across all fronts.

“I’m honoured to join Stellenbosch Football Club,” Mthiyane said. “I’ve been welcomed very well, and everyone has already made me feel at home. That warm welcome has been very important for me, but I am also not allowing myself to get too comfortable, because I know I have work to do.

“One of the biggest things that motivated me to join Stellenbosch is that the club is very competitive. The team wants to compete and win in every competition, and that’s something I want to be a part of.  I’m here to help the team try and achieve that, to grow each and every day, and hopefully win some trophies.”
