The Betway Premiership encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Polokwane City will be the 10^th meeting between the two sides across all competitions.

Stellenbosch have won five of the previous nine fixtures against Rise and Shine but suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat in the most recent meeting between the two sides in December last year.

Devin Titus has scored twice for Stellenbosch FC against Polokwane City – the most by any player from either side who is currently still at their club.

However, Iqraam Rayners is the record goalscorer in the fixture after scoring seven times for the Maroons, including a five-goal haul in April 2024 that saw him equal the PSL record for the most goals in a match.

Omega Mdaka will make his 50^th appearance for Stellenbosch FC across all competitions if he features for the team from the Winelands on Sunday.

The fixture has seen two own goals in the past; one for Polokwane City by Ismael Toure, and one for Stellies by Bulelani Nikani – the joint-most in matches involving Stellenbosch (alongside Royal AM and TS Galaxy).

Thabo Moloisane will overtake Fawaaz Basadien and climb to ninth on Stellies’ all-time appearance list with 112 outings if he features against Polokwane City.

Langelihle Phili has scored nine goals across all competitions this season. If he nets against Masandawana, he will be the first Stellies player to achieve double figures during the current campaign.

Shakeel April became the 161^st player to represent Stellenbosch FC when he made his debut for the Club against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.

Stellies are currently on a season-best run of having scored in six consecutive Betway Premiership matches. The Club record in the competition is 10, achieved twice: between January and April 2023 and between November 2023 and April 2024.
