Thabo Moloisane has been called up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane has returned to the South Africa national team fold after being called up as a replacement by coach Hugo Broos for the suspended Mbekezeli Mbokazi.

Bafana Bafana currently occupy second position in the Group C standings and must defeat Rwanda, while hoping table-toppers Benin drop points against Nigeria, in order to secure automatic qualification to next year’s World Cup.

Moloisane made his senior international debut against Mozambique in June 2024 and has won five caps to date, including a strong performance in an earlier qualifier against Lesotho last month.

The match between South Africa and Rwanda is scheduled to kick off at 18h00 on Tuesday, 14 October, and will be played at Mbombela Stadium.
