Stellies trump TS Galaxy in five-goal thriller
Stellenbosch FC staged a dramatic comeback to defeat TS Galaxy 3-2 at the Mbombela Stadium on Thursday, extending their unbeaten run against the Rockets to 15 matches across all competitions.
Having made the trek to Nelspruit for a Betway Premiership encounter against TS Galaxy, Stellenbosch FC made a bright start to the clash and were rewarded in the early stages when Andre de Jong teed up Devin Titus who made no mistake in netting an early opening goal.
However, the hosts responded strongly with Victor Letsoalo restoring parity before halftime before Dzenan Zajmovic fired Galaxy into the lead just minutes after the restart.

Coach Steve Barker’s side refused to back down and continued to push forward in search of an equalizer, and their persistence paid off when substitutes Sanele Barns and Ashley Cupido combined twice in quick succession to turn the match on its head.
First Barns, Barns picked out Cupido with a well-directed free-kick which the striker headed on target from rang to level the scores, before the duo combined again in added time to seal the come-from-behind victory.
The team from the Cape Winelands will be in action again this coming Friday when they welcome Richards Bay to Danie Craven Stadium for another league encounter, before hosting Magesi FC at the same venue four days later.
