Pre-match stats: Stellenbosch FC vs Marumo Gallants

Football Betway Premiership 2025/26 Stellenbosch FC v Marumo Gallants Danie Craven Stadium Stellenbosch

The Betway Premiership encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Marumo Gallants will be the tenth meeting between the two sides across all competitions.

The first meeting took place in October 2021 when Stellenbosch recorded a 1-0 league victory, with Ashley du Preez netting the winner on the day.

That was the first of four wins for the Maroons in the fixture, while Gallants have emerged victorious on three occasions, including in the most recent meeting in the Carling Knockout.

Including the aforementioned Du Preez, five players have scored for Stellies against Saturday’s opponents, with current players Thabo Moloisane, Devin Titus and Langelihle Phili among that number.

Phili is also one goal away from scoring 10 goals for the season and will become the first player to hit double figures for Stellenbosch in the current campaign if he finds the back of the net.

It would also see him become only the fourth player to reach double figures for the Club in a single campaign – after Iqraam Rayners (four times), Titus (twice), and Junior Mendieta.

Gallants’ Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo is the leading goalscorer in fixtures between Stellies and Gallants with three goals to his name, including a brace last time out.

Victory for Stellenbosch could see the Club climb into the top eight in the Betway Premiership standings if Durban City lose elsewhere and the existing four-goal goal difference between the sides is overturned.

Devin Titus has recorded seven assists in the Betway Premiership this season – only two players have recorded more in the league during the 2025-26 campaign.

Should Titus set up another goal on Saturday, he would equal Junior Mendieta’s club record of league assists (8) in a season set by the Argentine in 2022-23.

Following his brace in the 2-0 win over Orbit College last weekend, Chumani Butsaka has scored four goals for the season. Only Phili has more this term (Tshegofatso Mabasa is also on four).

Stellenbosch FC have a record of two wins, two draws, and two defeats when it comes to matches played on the final day of the Betway Premiership season.
