The Betway Premiership encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns will be the 19^th meeting between the two sides across all competitions.

Stellies have won four of those encounters while Sundowns hold the historical advantage with twelve victories, including a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture last August.

Peter Shalulile scored the winning goal for Masandawana on that day and is the leading goalscorer in the fixture with five goals, level with former Stellies striker Iqraam Rayners.

Rayners scored three times for Stellenbosch against Sundowns during his time in the Winelands and has netted twice for the reigning champions against the Maroons since crossing the divide.

Last week, Kazie Enyinnaya scored his first-ever Betway Premiership goal for Stellenbosch FC during the Club’s 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United. He is the 48th player to score in the competition for the Club.

Genino Palace also found the back of the net in the same match and has now scored three times in his last four appearances for the Maroons heading into Wednesday’s clash.

Should Stellenbosch FC score against Sundowns, it would be the first time this season that the Maroons have scored in six consecutive matches across all competitions.

Devin Titus has recorded a career-best six assists in the Betway Premiership this season. Only two players have recorded more assists in the competition during the current campaign.

Langelihle Phili has scored nine goals across all competitions this season. If he nets against Masandawana, he will be the first Stellies player to achieve double figures during the current campaign.

If Ibraheem Jabaar features against Sundowns, he will make his 140^th appearance and overtake Jayden Adams to climb to fourth on Stellenbosch FC’s all-time appearance list.
