There was cause for celebration at the annual Stellenbosch FC Ladies Awards Ceremony as the Club honoured this season’s title-winning stars from the first team and reserve team.

The 2025 season proved to be a remarkable one for the Stellenbosch FC Ladies, who, in just their second season in existence, were crowned Western Cape SASOL League champions in their stream after completing a perfect campaign.

Nathan Peskin’s side won all 18 of their league matches and scored an incredible 93 goals, averaging more than five goals per game, and conceded just nine times en route to the title.

That run included an 8-0 dismantling of neighbours and rivals Maties FC in August, and earned them a chance to battle in the upcoming playoffs for promotion to the HollywoodBets Super League for the first time in the Club’s history.

Michell Khan earned the coveted Player of the Season award for her starring role in the team’s triumph, while Denay Lambert, Janice Smith and Tercia van Wyk were also among the award winners on the day.

It was a similar tale of success for Stellies’ Ladies Reserves team, who marked their debut season by winning their local stream in the Western Cape Regional Women’s League, suffering just one defeat all year.

Cameron Carolissen, who was the joint-top scorer alongside Michelle Meiring with nine goals, was named Reserves’ Player of the Season, while Mia Heneke was named Reserves’ Sportswoman of the Season.

The Club expresses its gratitude to partners Le Coq Sportif and aQuelle, and to Eikestad Mall, for their generous contributions towards the success of our annual awards evening.
