Stellies to discover CAF Confed Cup quarter-final opponents
The draw for the 2024/25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals and semi-finals is set to take place in Doha, Qatar, on Thursday afternoon.
First-time participants Stellenbosch FC will discover their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final opponents on Thursday when the draw for the last eight takes place in Doha, Qatar.
The team from the Cape Winelands progressed from the group stage at the first time of asking this year after finishing as runners-up in Group B to Moroccan side, RS Berkane.

That means Stellies have been placed in Pot 1 for Thursday’s quarter-final draw alongside the other group runners-up, namely CS Constantine (Algeria), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), and Al Masry (Egypt).
The club’s potential opponents, meanwhile, are the group winners from Groups A, C, and D, which includes Simba SC (Tanzania), USM Alger (Algeria), or reigning champions, Zamalek SC (Egypt).
The fixtures will be played over the two legs, with Stellies as the home team first, and are scheduled to take place on 2 April and 9 April 2025, although final fixture details will be confirmed in due course.
Thursday’s draw, which will also include the draw for the semi-finals of the competition, is set to take place at 16h00 local time and will be broadcast live on SuperSport PSL 202.
