Adams, Basadien, Mcaba & Titus named in preliminary Bafana squad
Jayden Adams, Fawaaz Basadien, Athenkosi Mcaba, and Devin Titus have been named in the preliminary Bafana Bafana squad for next month’s 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan.
South Africa national team coach Hugo Broos has named a provisional 38-man squad for the country’s upcoming CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan.
The selection includes four Stellenbosch FC players, including Jayden Adams, who represented Bafana Bafana at last year’s AFCON tournament in Côte d’Ivoire, Fawaaz Basadien, Athenkosi Mcaba, and Devin Titus.

Titus and Mcaba recently represented the country at the 2024 COSAFA Cup in Gqeberha, while Basadien would be in line to make his senior international debut if he makes the final squad.
South Africa will play against Uganda at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on 6 September, and against South Sudan on 10 September.
