The dates and venues for our MTN8 semi-final double-header against Mamelodi Sundowns have been confirmed.

Stellenbosch Football Club will travel to Pretoria on Wednesday, 28 August where they will take on Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium in the first leg of our MTN8 semi-final encounter.

The return fixture will take place four days later when the Maroons play host to Masandawana on Sunday, 1 September at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Semi final 1: Wednesday, 28 August at 19h00 – Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium, Pretoria
Semi final 2: Sunday, 1 September at 15h00 – Venue: Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban

The second leg will be played away from Stellies’ traditional home in Stellenbosch and the Western Cape due to the unavailability of the Danie Craven Stadium and surrounding stadia.

Steve Barker’s side advanced to the last-four earlier this month after recording a 3-1 quarter-final win over TS Galaxy, courtesy of goals form Jayden Adams, Andre de Jong, and Fawaaz Basadien.

This is the second season in a row that the club has reached the semi-final of the MTN8, having narrowly missed out on a spot in last season’s final following a 2-2 aggregate defeat to eventual champions Orlando Pirates on the away goals rule.
