SFC supports inaugural Oshwin Andries Memorial Festival
On the occasion of what would have been Oshwin Andries’ 21st birthday, Stellenbosch Football Club lended its support to the community of Klapmuts at the inaugural edition of the U-11 Oshwin Andries Memorial Festival.
Stellenbosch Football Club commemorated the birthday of late defender Oshwin Andries by supporting the local Klapmuts Sports Council and the Andries family at the first edition of the Andries Memorial Festival, an U-11 sports festival held at the Klapmuts Sports Ground.

The legacy event saw eight local U-11 teams from Klapmuts, Stellenbosch, and the surrounding communities, come together for an exciting festival of football in honour of Andries, the former South Africa U-20 captain and SFC defender who was tragically killed in February of last year.
Not only was the festival an opportunity to give back to the community, but Stellenbosch FC youth coaches and scouts were also in attendance with the hope of discovering the next young talent to come out of the region and potentially offer them a spot the club’s academy.
