“It’s a nice way to start the season to play a team of Kaizer Chiefs’ following,” Barker said. “The stadium will be really packed, and the players deserve to be playing in front of packed stadiums, so we’re excited for the challenge that awaits us.”

Sunday’s encounter is one of eight matches for the club in August which includes the highly-anticipated MTN8 semi-finals, and Premiership clashes against the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, among others.

“If you look at our fixtures over the whole of August, we’ve got seven remaining games, so we’re playing a lot of matches and they’re against some real, good quality opposition,” Barker added.

“That gives us an opportunity to set a good marker for the season by getting off to a good start and getting points on the board.”
