Lee Langeveldt pens new Stellenbosch FC contract
Stellenbosch FC is proud to announce that veteran goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt has signed a contract extension that will see him enter his 21st season as a professional.
Langeveldt, who hails from Stellenbosch, will remain part of the first-team squad for the 2025/26 season before being provided the opportunity to transition into a backroom role, where he will serve as a goalkeeper coach for the club’s Reserve, Youth, and Ladies teams.

This agreement forms part of the club’s broader commitment to creating structured post-playing pathways for players who have served with distinction, as already reflected in the presence of former midfielder Angelo Kerspuy in the club’s Team Manager role.
Langeveldt is the last remaining member of the playing squad that won the 2018/19 National First Division title and earned promotion to the top flight, and played a key role in establishing Stellies’ status as a Premiership side during the club’s early seasons in the competition.
