South Africa, who currently occupy second place in the Group C standings in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, will host Lesotho in Polokwane on 21 March before taking on the challenge of Benin four days later.

Basadien made his international debut in November last year when he featured in back-to-back CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying wins over Uganda and South Sudan, while Moloisane boasts three caps to his name from the 2024 COSAFA Cup competition.

Their club teammates Ashley Cupido, Devin Titus, and Sage Stephens, who were all named in the preliminary squad, miss out on selection this time around.
