Club statement: Update on CAF competition venue arrangements
Stellenbosch FC wishes to advise our supporters and stakeholders about the arrangements for our upcoming CAF competition fixtures.
Neither the Danie Craven Stadium nor the nearby Athlone Stadium meet the accreditation requirements set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to host matches in the competition.

Consequently, the club will host its home matches at alternative venues that comply with CAF standards as follows:
8 December 2024 vs. RS Berkane (Morocco) at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban
5 January 2025 vs. Lunda Sul (Angola) at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria
12 January 2025 vs. Stade Malien (Mali) at Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town – UPDATE – this fixture has been moved to Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria, due to the Investect Champions Cup rugby match between the DHL Stormers and Sale Sharks at Cape Town Stadium on 11 January 2025
While we understand the challenges of not playing closer to home, we remain committed to proudly representing Stellenbosch FC and the town of Stellenbosch on the continental stage.
