Sibongiseni Mthethwa became the latest player to reach the 50-match milestone for Stellenbosch FC during the club’s 1-0 MTN8 quarter-final win over SuperSport United.

Having recently been named one of Stellenbosch FC’s vice-captains for the 2023/24 season, Sibongiseni Mthethwa enjoyed another milestone with the club on Sunday when he made his 50th appearance across all competitions for the team from the Cape Winelands, earning of the Man of the Match in the process as well.

In reaching the half-century mark, Ox, as Mthethwa is affectionately known, became just the 20th player in Stellies’ history to achieve the milestone, following in the footsteps of some of the biggest names to have graced the pitch in the famous Maroon jersey.
