Thabo Moloisane joins Stellenbosch FC
Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of former South Africa youth international Thabo Moloisane on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old defender joins the club on a long-term deal following a season with Maritzburg United in which he made 27 appearances across all competitions last term.
The move to Stellenbosch sees Moloisane return to the Western Cape where he previously captained Cape Town All Stars in the National First Division.
He also represented South Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup and CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2019, and is capable of playing across the back-line.
“Thabo Moloisane is a player with a lot of experience both at PSL and NFD level,” head coach Steve Barker said. “He is a player who has shown his leadership qualities at every club he has played for.
“We also believe that he is an underrated footballer who will flourish and develop into a really top centre-back with us at the club, with the added benefit of his versatility.”
