Bloemfontein Celtic FC vs Stellenbosch FC- Match Preview

Stellenbosch FC will look for a positive result this afternoon when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic FC at the Dr. Molemela Stadium at 15:30.
Head Coach, Steve Barker says, “I think having played the two back-to-back fixtures at home and getting the 4 points out of 6 gives us a bit of confidence. However, we know it’s never easy coming up against Celtic.
We need to go into the game with the expectation that we can get something from it. I think if we play to our potential and keep improving in areas, where we need to be improving in terms of our final third play, in creating and taking our chances. – I think we definitely have a chance tomorrow.
Conversely, we also need to make sure defensively we’re solid. You have to be compact against a team like Celtic who when given the freedom are a good passing and moving type of team. They’re also a team with a lot of combination plays and they have dangerous players in their team that we have to be aware of.
But, yes, preparations have gone well, and the mood is upbeat. All in all, looking forward to the encounter and we’ll go in there with confidence and with the expectation that we can get a positive result.”
Stellenbosch FC starlet, Jayden Adams who wishes to make his contributions felt in this encounter says, “We won’t make it easy for them. We know we need to get the positive result and I hope I can help my team do that by assisting and/or hopefully scoring my first PSL goal.”
Captain Robyn Johannes says, “Celtic are a good team, so we’re not naïve about the challenge that lies ahead. But we must go into this game confidently and make sure we bring back the points.”
