Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Ghana international Solomon Agbasi on a long-term deal.

Agbasi, who recently served as a travelling reserve for Ghana’s national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, has officially signed for Stellenbosch FC after penning a long-term deal.

The 25-year-old was previously on the books of Hearts of Oak and joins the Maroons’ goalkeeping department, where he will compete alongside Sage Stephens and Nathan Garrow.

“I feel very excited to be part of Stellenbosch FC,” Agbasi said. “Football has always given me a place to call home, and I feel like I am at home. Everyone has welcomed me and I feel good to be here.

“I’m hoping to help the team get back to the top four in the league, and from there compete for the league and in the CAF Confederation Cup or Champions League in the coming seasons.”

Agbasi will wear the No. 16 jersey this season and could be in line to make his debut for Stellenbosch when the Club takes on Kaizer Chiefs on 17 October 2026.
