The Betway Premiership encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Richards Bay FC will be the 13^th meeting between the two sides across all competitions.

Richards Bay have enjoyed a better run of results in the fixture with six wins during this time, including a 1-0 triumph earlier this season, while Stellies have emerged victorious on three previous occasions.

Stellenbosch forward Devin Titus is one of only three players to score 2+ goals in the fixture, alongside former Richards Bay forward Michael Gumede (2) and ex-Maroons striker Iqraam Rayners (5).

Should Ibraheem Jabaar feature in the match, he will make his 140^th appearance and overtake Jayden Adams to climb to fourth on Stellenbosch FC’s all-time appearance list.

Langelihle Phili has scored nine goals across all competitions this season. If he nets against Richards Bay, he will be the first Stellies player to achieve double figures during the current campaign.

Stellenbosch FC are currently unbeaten in eight Betway Premiership matches – the longest run of league games without defeat since the club-record streak of 18 that ended in May 2024.

Tuesday’s meeting could see Sanele Barns make his first appearance against Stellenbosch since leaving the Club to rejoin to Richards Bay in January.

Barns previously scored against Stellenbosch during his first spell with Richards Bay when he netted in a 2-1 league win for the Natal Rich Boys back in 2022.

Depending on results elsewhere, Stellenbosch could climb as high as seventh in the Betway Premiership standings if they claim all three points at Richards Bay Stadium on Tuesday.

Following his brace in the 2-1 win against Chippa United last month, Tshegofatso Mabasa is now Stellenbosch’s joint-second-top goalscorer this season with 3 goals, level with Titus, Barns, and Andre de Jong.

If he plays, Titus will overtake Deano van Rooyen and climb to second in terms of league outings for Stellenbosch (117). He already ranks second across all competitions with 166 appearances.
