Recap | The winners from the 2025 Stellenbosch FC Academy awards ceremony

Last weekend, three sides from the SFC Academy took part in the 2026 edition of the De Beers tournament, including Stellies’ reigning U-12 and U-14 champions.

Those two age groups were ultimately unable to defend their titles, with the U-12s suffering a defeat in their final and the U-14s falling out in the quarter-finals, but Stellenbosch did add to the trophy cabinet after the U-16s were crowned champions after defeating Central AFC.

From the title-winning squad, Stellies’ Bukhu Yhuyhu took home the Top Goalscorer award, while Muzzammil Gideon, who was named SFC Academy Goalkeeper of the Year in 2025, claimed the Golden Glove trophy.

Meanwhile, in the U-12 category, Siyavuya Siyo was also crowned as the age group’s Top Goalscorer.
