Stellenbosch FC secured their place in the 2025 Nedbank Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory over Polokwane City in the Round of 16.

The match, played at Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Friday evening, saw the hosts take the lead early in the first half when Polokwane City defender Bulelani Nikani inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.

Devin Titus sealed the win in the second half with a smart left-footed strike, finishing off a well-worked move after being set up by Khomotjo Lekoloane to double Stellies’ advantage.

The team from the Cape Winelands, who reached the semi-finals of the competition last season, will now await the draw for the quarter-finals this time around, which is set to take place on Monday, 17 February.
