Steve Barker’s side reached this stage of the competition following a resounding 4-0 victory over SuperSport United in the quarter-finals after previously eliminating the likes of Pretoria Callies and Milford FC.
Sundowns, meanwhile, defeated the University of Pretoria in their most recent encounter, having knocked out Maritzburg United and La Masia in the earlier rounds.
Stellenbosch and Masandawana met in the last-eight of last year’s edition of the competition as well, with the team from the Cape Winelands emerging victorious following a 2-1 win at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on that occasion.
This time around, the clash will take place in front of a packed crowd in Stellenbosch where both teams will be looking to book their ticket to the final, which is scheduled to take place later in May at Mbombela Stadium.
