Stellenbosch FC will play host to Cape Town City in the highly-anticipated Cape Derby this Friday at the Danie Craven Stadium.

Fresh from advancing to the Carling Knockout final, Stellenbosch FC have another exciting fixture to look forward to on Friday evening when they welcome rivals Cape Town City to the Danie Craven Stadium for a DStv Premiership fixture.

Both sides head into the tie on an impressive run of form with Stellenbosch unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions, and City enjoying a four-match winning streak of their own, although it is the hosts who have held the edge in recent head-to-head encounters.

Steve Barker’s side has won four of the last five meetings against their neighbours, including a sensational 3-2 come-from-behind win at the Danie Craven Stadium last season which served as the catalyst for the Maroons’ remarkable second half to the campaign.
