Iqraam Rayners has revealed his pride ahead of becoming the fourth member of Stellenbosch FC’s 100-appearance club.
Rayners is in line to make his 100th appearance across all competitions for Stellenbosch FC when the club takes on SuperSport United at the Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday evening.
In doing so, the 27-year-old will become just the fourth player in the club’s history to achieve a century of appearances, following in the footsteps of Jarrod Moroole, Rafiq de Goede and current teammate, Deano Van Rooyen.
“It’s a great achievement for me and my family,” Rayners said during Stellies’ media open day on Thursday. “To the club and the supporters, I just want to say thank you for being behind me over the years.”

Rayners, who is also Stellenbosch’s record goalscorer with 52 goals to his name, revealed that he never expected to become a centurion and that he was delighted to have done so after returning for a second stint with the club at the start of the year.
“I did not think that I would ever reach this milestone.,” he added. “I didn’t even know how many games I had played for Stellenbosch until the coach told me last week. I could not believe it.
“But I’m happy to be back and to achieve my 100th appearance with Stellenbosch. I scored a lot of goals in these 100 games, over 50, and I’m happy to have been able to help the team since coming back last season. I’m happy to be back at home and back with my family.”
