Victory would see Stellenbosch reach the quarter-final of the competition for the first time in the club’s history.
Steve Barker’s side will return to Nelspruit next month to do battle against the Rockets for a spot in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup competition.
Stellies head into the encounter on the back of a resounding 3-0 win over Swallows FC in the Round of 32 in which Vusi Sibiya scored his first goal for the club and returning hero Iqraam Rayners scored twice at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
The Maroons faced Galaxy as recently as 8 January 2023 in the DStv Premiership, during a match at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit where the two sides played out a goalless draw.
The date, time and venue for the fixture will be confirmed in due course, along with ticket information for supporters hoping to make the trip to Mpumalanga.
