Update on COVID-19 ⚠️ The PSL Board of Governors held an extraordinary meeting today (19/03/2020) which concluded that all football fixtures are suspended until further notice. The body advises that they may find a solution to complete the league by June 30.

In the meantime we’d like to take this opportunity to share our deepest condolences to those families who have been hit terribly by this virus not just in SA but all over the world. We’d also like to recognize that certain communities do not have the privileges that others do in certain precautionary actions–such as those, who cannot afford to miss a day’s work because they live paycheck to paycheck who those that can’t “distance themselves” due to socio-economic reasons or who cannot afford proper health care or do not have the means to prepare their families for isolation.

We stand by the decision of the state and believe that it is within our best interest that sport take a back seat and that the health of those around us are put first.

Let’s work together in preventing a situation our health systems may not be able to handle. Let’s rather over-prepare and be over-precautionary, than undermine with an advent of a drastically fatal outcome.
